ASM is an independent, co-educational college preparatory day school located on a state-of-the-art campus south of Milan. Founded in 1962, ASM has provided an English-speaking education to international students for over 60 years and is the oldest non-profit IB school. ASM's mission is to "inspire students to discover their unique potential and to be curious learners, critical thinkers, and global citizens who positively impact our world." Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, ASM has been an IB World School since 1983, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. It is the most diverse international school in Milan, with 65% of its students coming from over 70 countries.

ASM's core values shape its community, guiding students, staff, and faculty. Respect involves honoring oneself, others, the school, and the planet. Curiosity drives the pursuit of truth and understanding. Integrity ensures honesty and sincerity in every situation. Courage empowers students to do the right thing, even when it's difficult or unpopular. Kindness fosters friendly, generous, and considerate actions and words. These values are central to ASM's supportive and inclusive environment.

The 9-acre campus offers a dynamic setting for learning and growth. Facilities include state-of-the-art science laboratories, two full-sized American gymnasia, tennis courts, a grass soccer field, and a 27,000-volume library with e-books. A 500-seat auditorium, completed in 2019, serves as a hub for school events and performances.

ASM employs more than 103 full-time faculty members who are highly educated, experienced, and passionate leaders in the classroom. The school prioritizes professional development through a robust growth fund, ensuring educators remain at the forefront of best practices.

ASM offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma and the American High School Diploma. Since 1983, ASM students have consistently exceeded world averages in IB pass rates and average points, reflecting their exceptional academic preparation.
