MISSION AND VALUES
The Bahrain Bayan School provides students with a comprehensive bilingual education, rooted in Arab identity and Bahraini culture. We develop students who have confidence in their abilities and embrace their responsibilities as national and global citizens. Our graduate profile represents our school's core values that aim to develop compassionate, internationally-minded citizens who thrive in a challenging, changing, and highly technological world.
SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY
The Bahrain Bayan School (BBS) was established in 1982 by Dr. May Al Otaibi and Mrs. Kathleen Acher Kaiksow. The BBS is an independent, national, non-profit, coeducational, bilingual school in Arabic and English, catering to students from KG to Grade 12. It is accredited and licensed by the Bahrain Ministry of Education, under the Bahrain Government law, in addition to an accreditation by The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA). The school is classified as an 'Outstanding' school based on evaluation by the Bahrain Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA).
The school community consists of dedicated parents who represent the highest levels of government, business, and industry in the Kingdom. We have a strong home-school partnership. The parents' active participation in the cooperative education of Bayan School children is an essential component in the success and achievement of our students.
CURRICULUM AND IB PROGRAMME
BBS offers a challenging English and Arabic college preparatory program with a strong emphasis on the development of language and literacy skills.
An IB World School since 1993, BBS offers our junior and senior students a highly competitive IB program that yields excellent results.
