ELCHK Lutheran Academy (LA) is a through-train school with primary and secondary sections, providing a holistic Christian education. Students are offered through-train IB curriculum (PYP, MYP and DP) with a dual exit with IBDP and DSE.

International Connectedness and Global Classroom

As part of our development plan, LA has established over 60 international partnerships with schools and organisations, focusing on inbound and outbound exchanges, virtual classes, and pen pal activities across academics, sports, and Christian ministries. Through the "Global Classroom," students enhance their global vision by participating in projects such as building Hong Kong's first satellite in Siberia.

High Teacher-Student Ratio with an International Teaching Team

We maintain a teacher-student ratio of approximately 1:10 for more personalised interaction. Our diverse team of passionate educators comes from Hong Kong and 20 other nations, including Canada, the UK, the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

Aerospace Curriculum

Following our success in producing Hong Kong students' first CubeSat and propellant rocket, the Aerospace Curriculum Framework has been introduced for Year 4 to Year 9 students, focusing on hands-on activities and interdisciplinary learning in aerospace science. This curriculum includes themes such as satellites, rockets, payloads, and space city design.

Career and Life Planning & Career Fest

Career and life planning is prioritised in our secondary school through programmes that help students explore their interests, set goals, and develop essential skills. Our annual "Career Fest" enables students to discover diverse career paths, enhancing university applications through lectures, industry talks, visits, and internships.

Talent Development Programme

The gifted education programme nurtures unique talents through a three-tier model. Tier 1 includes whole-class teaching and community resource integration, while Tier 2 offers specialised pull-out programmes. Tier 3 provides off-site support, such as competitions and internships. The curriculum emphasises holistic education and global citizenship, complemented by extracurricular activities like satellite and rocket building. Personalised mentorship ensures students receive guidance to reach their potential and prepare for future challenges.
