Ermitage International School is a bilingual K-12 school located in the historic town of Maisons-Laffitte, just 20km west of Paris. With a student body of nearly 1500 students, representing over 70 nationalities, Ermitage offers student-centered learning, with a focus on bilingualism and leadership. Weekday and fulltime boarding is available in traditional French residences.

  • IB Programs (IB MYP & IB DP), 240 students enrolled, offering English instruction, with French lessons from a beginner to native-level.
  • French Bilingual Programs (Primary to French bac, BFI) 1260 students enrolled, instructed in French.

IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) 1-5

The MYP encourages students to be active learners, asking challenging questions, as well as developing a strong sense of identity, cultural understanding and communication skills. During the MYP, our team of experienced teachers accompany and guide students on their journey to becoming IB Learners. Emphasis is placed on individual growth and encouraging students to reflect upon their classroom projects and co-curricular initiatives. Teachers facilitate students' learning and help prepare them for the rigorous demands of the IB Diploma Programme.

IB Diploma Programme (DP) 1-2

Within the dynamic, inquiry based environment, students are encouraged to think critically and become independent learners. Assignments are demanding, but by graduation the calibre of research, writing and project management skills acquired mean our students are highly prepared for their tertiary studies.

Round Square

As a Global Member of the Round Square organization, Ermitage is connected to like minded schools, offering a variety of service-learning trips, global exchanges and leadership conferences. Students also discover their interests outside of the classroom through a daily co-curricular program with the opportunity to initiate projects, participate in leadership experiences, sports and more while connecting with local and global communities.
