School Description

The Inter-Community School Zurich (ICS) is the longest-established international school in the Zurich area. A private co-educational day school, established in 1960, we provide a world-class international education for students aged 18 months to 18 years.

Our language of instruction, in a multilingual context, is English. Our 'English as an Additional language' (EAL) programme supports students with limited English. All students learn German, the language of our host country.

Students undertake the full IB Diploma. As well as offering the full IB Diploma to all students, ICS champions excellence in Sports and Arts and offers students a broad range of exciting extra - curricular opportunities alongside the academic IB programme.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

ICS believes that learning beyond the classroom, as well as within, adds value to a rigorous educational experience. We offer collaborative and innovative extra-curricular activities to inspire and engage students.

Service Learning, both locally and internationally, is a key component of the ICS curriculum. Students are constantly encouraged to look beyond themselves. As a Round Square member school, ICS offers students opportunities to join Round Square Service initiatives.

Zurich, Switzerland

With vast natural and cultural resources, Switzerland is a perfect environment for "learning through doing". By deliberately structuring authentic learning experiences outside the classroom, we foster students' holistic development. Field trips are an integral part of learning at ICS, giving students the chance to apply their learning, broaden their horizons and develop leadership and independence.

Admissions

As an international school, we welcome students of all nationalities; we currently have students from 50+ countries here.

We welcome applications from prospective students throughout the year. Please contact us at contact@icsz.ch if you have any questions or if you would like to arrange a visit.

Location

We are conveniently located on a single campus, situated near the Zurich city centre and easily accessed by public transportation. We also offer a school bus service.
