Mission:
"We all want to learn more;
We all do it in different ways;
We all have fun learning;
We all help."
- ISB Student
ISB is a private, not-for-profit, co-educational day school established in 1979. We are an IB World School offering the PYP, MYP and DP programmes for children 3-19 years old, in English and in English/German in Junior School. ISB offers students a broad and holistic programme, including a strong academic curriculum blended with a wide range of co-curricular activities to allow every student to follow their passion and develop their unique talent.
Vision 2030
Our recently-launched strategic plan "Vision 2030" has been designed to prepare students to flourish and impact their world, by providing them with a holistic learning experience to help them develop a deeper purpose to serve something greater than themselves. It consists of four key pillars: Student Wellbeing; Future-Focused Learning; Whole Child Development; and Sustainability.
Campuses
Our three campuses, located on the outskirts of the city of Basel, provide students with world-class learning opportunities. An efficient public transport system and convenient pedestrian and bicycle paths ensure easy access to ISB campuses. Age-appropriate and supportive learning environments encourage students' potential and nurture their talents at all stages of intellectual, physical and emotional development, providing them with the means to grow and thrive.
Community
Our school is a vibrant community where parents, students and staff work in partnership to enrich the learning experience and strengthen the social connections among families. We also embrace an active involvement in the wide range of local associations, clubs and activities in our neighbourhood.
