Since its founding in 1996, International School of Bucharest (ISB) has evolved into one of the largest and most successful international schools in the city. Our curriculum offers students aged 2 to 18 a demanding and reflective education with an international perspective.

Our mission is to provide each student with a broad, balanced education in a safe and supportive environment. We promote an enjoyment of learning, creativity, and excellence whilst working in close harmony with our diverse community. We enable students to reach their full potential and develop skills to become independent, respectful, and caring adults who will be successful and contribute to global society.

In Primary and Lower Secondary, ISB follows the National Curriculum for England and Wales, which is tailored to align with international best practices. We offer the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Key Stage 4 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the Sixth Form.

As part of the IBDP, we offer a variety of courses, all taught by specialized educators, using an extensive range of facilities and modern educational technology.

As our students venture into the next chapter of their lives, we are confident that our graduates will continue to shine and contribute meaningfully to society.

Our Sixth Form enjoys a commendable acceptance rate at esteemed world universities, including the UK's Russell Group, and prestigious institutions in Europe and North America.
