North London Collegiate School is internationally recognised as an outstanding school which provides an exceptional education. One of the oldest day schools for girls in England, we have maintained our position as an established force at the forefront of women’s education, and our students consistently excel in every area. Our students leave us not just with outstanding qualifications, but also as articulate and independent young adults who possess the confidence, intellectual curiosity, and passion for learning and understanding that will endure for life.

Whilst ensuring academic excellence, equal attention is given to supporting the development of the whole person, inspiring confidence, individuality and self-esteem. Consequently, the school is a positive and energetic community where pupils are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities open to them, with around 36 productions, 40 societies and 30 foreign trips offered each year.

International Outlook

NLCS has a highly international perspective that is unique amongst London day schools. We feel it is vital to prepare our students to become global citizens, by providing opportunities for them to be outward-looking, internationally minded and well informed about the world beyond school. Our growing family of sister schools in South Korea, Dubai, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City, with more branches planned for the future, benefits pupils and staff through exchange opportunities and internships. The IB Diploma resonates with the values of NLCS, and its international dimension affords students the opportunity to be part of a programme which is offered in, and recognised by, almost every country in the world.

Academic Excellence

In 2023, our students achieved an average points score of 41.5 and since offering the IB Diploma programme in 2004, we have had an exceptional record of success. Our students consistently achieve an average score in excess of 40 points, making NLCS one of the top-performing IB schools in the world.

Looking to the future

Our IB students have received offers from a range of impressive institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Georgetown, Stanford and Princeton, as well as other leading universities such as Bristol, Edinburgh and the London colleges and medical schools.

The IB Diploma programme offered at NLCS ensures that students enjoy an exciting and academically stimulating Sixth Form experience, providing them with an excellent preparation for life at university and in the wider world beyond.
