Mastery Learning Philosophy: Kyiv International School believes in personalized instruction within a positive learning environment leading to mastery of clearly defined objectives. The educational philosophy emphasizes cooperative and collaborative learning, reflection, innovation, and higher-order and critical thinking. Mastery learning prepares our students for the higher level thinking, reflection and self-motivation that is so fundamental for students engaged in the IB Diploma Programme.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme: Kyiv International School has offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme since 2004 and the program continues to grow and evolve through reflection and review. With more than twenty teachers involved with the IB curriculum and classes, there are varied opportunities for students enrolled in the program. Students are encouraged to enroll in the full diploma programme, but also have the opportunity to enroll in classes for IB certificates.

IB Language Courses: KIS is proud to offer German, French, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian which students can study as either a first or second language. We also encourage students to enroll in school-supported self-study of their native language. Students have recently received bilingual diplomas in Russian, French, Ukrainian, German, Italian and Korean.

Facilities and location: KIS is located just 10 km from the city center. The park like campus includes 95 classrooms (including fully equipped science laboratories to support Group 4 subjects), a learning center, 2 sensory rooms, 3 art rooms, 3 music rooms, a recording studio, 3 computer laboratories, 2 indoor gymnasiums, an indoor pool, fitness center, climbing wall, a cafeteria, a snack café, 2 playgrounds, a purpose built track, an artificial turf soccer field, an artificial turf soccer mini pitch, an outdoor basketball court, outdoor fitness area, other outdoor spaces, and a brand new auditorium with a seating capacity of 350.
