Welcome to Saint Kentigern College

Saint Kentigern College has been providing quality education since 1953, building a strong foundation of excellence across all areas of school life. Located in Auckland, New Zealand, we offer a world-class education for boys and girls aged 11 to 18, with a wide range of opportunities for academic achievement, personal growth, and success in co-curricular pursuits. The College is set on a spacious 100-acre campus, bordered by the Tamaki Estuary in Pakuranga, providing an ideal environment for both academic and personal development.

Curriculum

We prioritise academic excellence and provide the support necessary for students to reach their full potential. A wide range of subjects is taught in modern, specialist facilities, ensuring that each student is well-equipped for success. In the final two years, students can pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, guided by highly qualified and passionate educators. These teachers motivate, support, and challenge students, preparing them for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Co-Curricular Activities

Our co-curricular activities are a key part of student experience, enhancing personal growth and development beyond the classroom. Our sports facilities and coaching staff rank among the best in New Zealand, with students excelling in regional, national, and international competitions. Performing Arts and Music are also central to our offerings, with highly skilled teachers guiding our Drama, Dance, and Music students. Drama and Dance students benefit from purpose-built spaces for practice and performance, while our Music Centre provides exceptional, soundproofed facilities for choral and instrumental music. Across all disciplines, students are supported in nurturing their talents and passions.

Boarding

Bruce House, with dedicated living areas for boys and girls, provides a home away from home, where students can easily integrate into campus life. They form lasting friendships, develop a strong sense of school spirit, and engage fully in both academic and co-curricular activities. Students from countries such as Germany, Russia, China, Korea, Thailand, and the Pacific Islands join us to experience the benefits of studying in New Zealand and being part of Saint Kentigern's unique learning environment. Our boarders thrive in this setting, growing in independence and responsibility, while also developing a strong sense of belonging in the community.

Student Wellbeing

We offer the best pastoral care, with a dedicated team of teachers and personal care specialists ensuring that each student is supported in every aspect of their development. Our team works closely with students to monitor their progress socially, academically, and emotionally, enabling them to thrive both at school and beyond.
