Jump Into a Unique French International School!

Recognized for its educational philosophy, the Institut Saint-Dominique (ISD) is one of the most prestigious French schools in Italy that combines educational excellence and well-being. The Institut Saint-Dominique is a school of the International Odyssey Group and, for more than 10 years, a partner school of the network of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), which has more than 500 schools around the world.

All our programs from kindergarten to high school are approved by the French National Ministry of Education. Our establishment offers excellent and multilingual education (French, Italian, English) from Pre-kindergarten to High school. ISD Rome is accredited with the International Baccalaureate Organization and opens an English-speaking International Section (PRE-IB GRADE 10) from September 2022 and the Diploma Programme for 2023-2024.

ISD, like all schools in the Odyssey network, provides its students with a French and international education that allows them to express the best of themselves and embark on a path of excellence that will open doors to the best universities in the world. We welcome our students in a dynamic, cosmopolitan environment where each member of the community can find their place and build lifelong bonds.

The learning environment plays an essential role in the development and success of each student. Our spaces are designed to promote academic performance, curiosity, creativity, and the well-being of students through the integrated teaching of languages by teachers who are "mother tongue" speakers. We also emphasize sciences and data processing with the presence of interactive touchscreen screens in the classrooms. In this exceptional setting of 6 hectares, the students have the possibility, regardless of their age, nationality, and sensitivity, to accomplish their schooling from a personalized pedagogical and educational framework.

Our boarding school offers double or single rooms, the option of staying 5 or 7 days, and a dozen cultural and sporting activities. The boarding school, situated on our exceptional 6-hectare campus in a secure and green setting in the heart of a historic city, allows us to accommodate an increasing number of boarding students and implement advanced teaching and learning methods. Saint-Dominique boarding school offers a multilingual education, personalized support, and a cultural, sports, and artistic program. It drives the development of a quality educational offer rich in human experiences, acquired through a community life that requires attention and respect in the relationship with others.

The benefits of the English International Section - IB at ISD:

Language diversity: The language of the International Section is English, and the majority of courses are delivered in English, but students can also study other languages at a very advanced level. Small class sizes promote easy communication among students and with teachers. A wide choice of subjects, associated with projects of solidarity, commitment, and leadership, allows students to build a recognized and sought-after academic profile. Interactive classes and the development of critical thinking lead students to success in the Diploma Programme exam. Additionally, a CAS coordinator (Creativity, Activity, Service) and an IB coordinator support students and teachers in fulfilling their orientation project.

At our school, we believe in empowering our students with language skills. In the grade 10 IB section, students have a unique opportunity to learn not one but two additional languages - French and Italian. With four hours of instruction in each subject each week, students can delve into these languages and gain proficiency. Classes are differentiated according to students' language proficiency levels, ensuring a customized learning experience for each individual. Community Service and Lifelong Learning: We go beyond academics; our students experience the joy of giving back to the community. Each week, they dedicate one hour to community service, where they work closely with instructors to plan and execute meaningful activities. After each event, they reflect on their experiences, gaining valuable insights that add to their learning journey. This hands-on approach instills organizational skills, empathy, and a lifelong commitment to service in our students.

All of the modern infrastructure, digitized and adapted to the evolution of our pupils, allows a peaceful and successful schooling.
