Discovering & Manifesting Human Excellence: Through Vedanta

Inspired by the wisdom of Swami Vivekananda and the profound insights of Vedanta, our International Baccalaureate (IB) World School is dedicated to empowering every student to discover their hidden potential and manifest it in the world. We foster a learning environment where each child is guided to realise their innate divinity and contribute meaningfully to their own family, society, country and the world.

Guiding Principles: The 7 Fs

As explained in plain words by Swami Vivekananda, our education system needs to have Western Science of Education, coupled with Vedanta. Children need to be guided without domination from parents, teachers and through freedom and fun. The seven core principles of our school therefore, encapsulated by the acronym of 7 Fs:

• Fun: We believe learning should be joyful and engaging, sparking curiosity and a lifelong love for inquiry and exploration.
• Freedom: We encourage conceptual, inquiry based independent thoughts, creativity, free self-expression.
• Flexibility: We embrace diverse learning styles and provide personalised support to cater to individual needs. Guide the students with their future choices towards universities.
• Fearlessness: Learners are guided through Service activities, to serve the people from the land, overseas as well as within India. Embrace challenges and persevere through setbacks.
• Fighting Skills: We equip students with resilience and determination and a sense of never give up attitude, a stickability to overcome obstacles and strive for excellence.
• Focus: We promote mindfulness and one pointed concentration, to dive deep within; enabling academic honesty, as well as develop individual passions.
• Fly: We inspire students to soar to new heights, pursuing their dreams with confidence and ambition. However different their ideas be from that of their parents, or their student groups, they select courageously, to land as the captain of their own aircraft, in countries, and choose their own future career.

Unleashing Human Potential through Vedanta

Vedanta teaches us that the potential of humans is unbounded, limitless and that human beings can 'become' - whatever they visualise with their belief system and choose to work at it. Whatever they can visualise, dream of and importantly believe in their dreams, they can attain those dreams.

Unlike other creatures bound by their instinct and nature, humans have the unique capacity to transcend limitations and shape their own destiny. 'We believe that by nurturing a child's self-belief, providing them with the right knowledge and tools, and fostering a supportive community, we can empower them to attain 'human excellence'. Our Vision

We envision a world where our graduates emerge as compassionate, critical thinkers, and global citizens who embody the values of Vedanta (Self Belief).

We are committed to:

• Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, respected, and supported.
• Providing a holistic education that balances academic rigour with personal development, fostering intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
• Integrating the wisdom of Vedanta to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of interconnectedness.

Achievements:

• Despite the entire Academic Year (2021-22) running virtual, due to Covid 19, one DP student joined the World Topper Rank - scoring a perfect 45/45. All other DP students secured a perfect first division.
• All our DP students have been successfully placed, in their preferred universities, placed across the globe. Majority of which were prestigious ones and many of our students received scholarships to aid their academic goals.
• In the Academic Year 2019 - 2020, MYP and DP results were 100 percent, with the highest score being 56/56 - World Topper - in MYP and 44/45 in DP.
• In August 2022 we attained 100% results for MYP and DP, with the highest score being 55/56 in MYP and 43/45 in DP.
• By this balancing power of the best of East (Vedanta) and West (IB) our school has been blessed by Nature & the Divine Grace with the honour of being, since 2012, a Model IB World School, in Asia.
• On 15 Nov 2019, we received through an IB Evaluation process, 'accreditation from IB for our excellent standards and practices'. IB has, in addition, requested us to share these standards and practices with the IB global network.

Our Educational Approach:

By embracing these principles, we strive to be a beacon of educational excellence, renowned for our unique philosophy, and recognised for our contribution, through Vedanta coupled with IB pedagogy of teaching and learning, to shaping future generations; with a strong sense of 'self-respect', and as compassionate and empowered global citizens.

The VKidss team consists of highly motivated educators, including three IBEN workshop leaders, one IB consultant, and one IB senior team leader. Our teachers work tirelessly to create an environment that promotes active, engaged learning.
