AMADEUS IB opportunities

AMADEUS Vienna is a full IB continuum school offering a Reggio Emilia-inspired Kindergarten and all four IB Programmes, catering to students from 3 to 19. For the Early Years, our Kindergarten Programme accommodates ages 3-6, while the IB World School offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Further striving for Educational Distinction, the school introduced the IB Career-related Programmes (Music or Art & Design) that offer students a personalised education with a more practical focus on specific fields of study. IB Early Years and Primary Years Programmes

Our Early Years Centre is an international kindergarten in Vienna that welcomes children ages 3 to 5 from all over the world. Our kindergarten provides a strong foundation for future learning by promoting children’s individual learning and development in a nurturing and caring environment. Furthermore, the Primary Years Programme welcomes children aged 6 to 11 into a vibrant, inclusive, and inquiry-based learning community where international students feel connected and welcome and where they can build a strong foundation for life-long learning.

IB Middle Years Programme

The IB Middle Years Programme, welcoming students in Grades 6 to 10, emphasises experimental learning, critical thinking, international-mindedness, and other important areas. This program instils a positive attitude to learning by challenging students to solve problems, show creativity and resourcefulness, and participate actively in their communities. This programme supports the communication skills development and the development of the whole student through the IB Learner Profile – physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically.

IB Diploma or Career-related Programmes (Music / Art & Design)

For both the final Grade 11 and 12 students, the IB Diploma or the IB Career-related programme, are academically rigorous, focus-based, and challenging programmes to provide the students with lifelong, useful, and memorable skills. The IB Diploma programme enables the acquisition of breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, supports the study of two languages, and develops high-level skills and a positive attitude toward learning that will prepare students for higher education. However, the IB Career-related Programmes are designed for students to hone their musical or artistic skills, providing them with a unique pathway to universities, internships, apprenticeships, or other professional avenues.
