Tanglin Trust School is delighted to welcome Craig Considine as new CEO
Posted on 21st Aug 2018 in School News, SingaporeCraig was Headmaster of Millfield, a leading co-educational independent school in the UK, for 10 years. Millfield is well known for its excellent academic achievements, diversity, open entry policy, sporting achievements and outstanding facilities. Craig made a number of significant changes to enhance the school's excellent academic and pastoral provision.
Craig was also Headmaster of an independent boarding and day school in New Zealand, and held posts at a number of Australian independent schools, including Geelong Grammar School.
He represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games in track and field and played professional AFL football, pointing to his passion for sport and co-curricular activities.
Craig has a Master's Degree in Education from Charles Sturt University, a Diploma of Education from Melbourne University and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science from RMIT. He has a strong belief in the importance of wellbeing as the cornerstone of each pupil flourishing and achieving his or her potential.
Craig is Australian and is joined in Singapore by his wife Penny. They have five children, three of whom are at university in Australia and two that work in the UK.
“My predecessor has handed over the school in excellent heart. The reputation of Tanglin is stronger and more acknowledged than ever, and we are delighted to be welcoming strong student numbers again in August 2018. I am looking forward to working with the faculty teams, support staff and of course the parents, students and children, and will be observing and listening a lot to life at Tanglin over the coming months,” said Craig.
